Michelle Beveridge

Michelle is the Chief of Staff to Saskatoon’s Mayor Charlie Clark. She has been in this position from November 2016, ending this November 2024. She was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo to a Filipina mom and a Saskatchewan-born dad. Volunteering in political campaigns from an early age led into work as a political campaign consultant in federal, provincial, and municipal elections, including as Mayor Clark’s campaign manager in both his councillor and mayoral elections. A journalist by trade, she has also worked in various roles with all orders of government, in post-secondary institutions, and for local and international non-governmental organizations, including for over a decade with Oxfam Canada as the Prairies campaigns coordinator and then as a policy and advocacy specialist in international trade and agriculture. She has a Bachelor of Arts Honours from Queen’s University, a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Regina, and Master’s from the University of Saskatchewan where her thesis topic was “Identity and Solidarity in Hybrid Spaces: Narratives of Indigenous Women Political Leaders in Saskatchewan and Guatemala”.
