Our Space Girls Summer Camps

Join us for a Summer Camp this Summer!

The Our Space Camp for Girls is continuing this summer!

The YWCA’s Our Space girls program is directed towards girls between the ages of 8-13 to promote physical activity, healthy nutrition and creativity from early ages. The other purpose of the program is to encourage social skills among young girls and teach them to complete tasks together as a team.

Through Our Space, girls come together in a safe, fun, interactive environment. The program creates a fun atmosphere where the girls can meet new friends, learn about nutrition and healthy eating, participate in different physical activities and sports, and create a variety of arts and crafts. The program runs Monday to Friday 9am-4pm. Throughout the day the Our Space program runs a variation of organized games and activities that utilizes the YWCA facility. Every day the girls participate in yoga class, practicing different breathing techniques as well as posture and stretching. Three times throughout the program the young ladies get to create fun crafts that allow them to express themselves. On Wednesdays and Thursdays a nutritionist meets with the girls and does a collection of activities aimed to teach them about the importance of healthy eating.

Girls can register for the camp here.    Dates for the camp are August 20-24 and August 27-31.
