Laid off? On EI? Wanting to get back work in the shortest feasible time?
If your answer is yes, the YWCA Saskatoon’s Job Finding Club may be right for you.
Every month YWCA Saskatoon hosts a three week Job Finding Club for job-ready employment seekers from Saskatoon and area. The club meets weekday mornings, with at-home and community work in the afternoons and evenings.
The club assists and supports job seekers to find work within the hidden job market. Within a group setting, job seekers learn job search strategies, gain confidence and stay motivated in their job searches. Together, club members employ group job hunting techniques designed specifically for job–ready clients.
Subjects covered include: personal branding, the skills triangle, the elevator speech, job search documents, social media, a video taped job interview, the hidden job market, and developing an action plan for the future.
Here are some questions to help you decide if the YWCA Job Finding Club is right for you:
- Am I available to attend sessions every morning?
- Do I have a focused job goal?
- Am I committed to finding work?
- Am I ready to start work right away?
We hold information sessions for you to learn more about Job Finding Club and how it can support you.
