Job Search Program

In the Job Search Program, you will work with professional employment counsellors who provide job searching training, ongoing support and direction in the process of finding and securing employment.

Achieve your employment goals.

Learn to promote yourself within Saskatoon.

Gather information about labour market trends and employers.

Gain experience with cold calling, interviews, and networking.

Feel confident and well-prepared in your next interview.

From your first meeting to ongoing support and direction, we assist you to develop a plan to promote yourself in Saskatoon’s job market. Our counsellors will motivate and inspire you to succeed.

Services include:

  • Development of your individual employment plan
  • Assistance to update your resume, cover letter, and references
  • Job search techniques
  • Interview preparation
  • Help to search and apply for jobs online
  • Job Finding Club
  • One-on-one appointments, and support by email and phone
  • Short term training and computer upgrading
  • Labour market information and employer contacts
  • Help with your first days on the job and maintaining your job

During the current COVID-19 situation, the Employment and Learning staff are working in-person by appointment, and remotely through email, phone, and Zoom. Job Finding Club

We invite you to join YWCA Saskatoon’s Job Finding Club-Online (via Zoom) and achieve your employment goals.

The Job Finding Club Online (via Zoom) will help you find the best possible job within the shortest feasible time during the COVID-19 pandemic.  We assist and support job seekers to find work within the hidden job market.  We work with you to refine and target your cover letters and resumes. We support you in generating job leads and building your network.  We will prepare you for your next job interview and support you to understand and build your personal brand. And we will provide guidance and support in job searching online and using social media to enhance your job search during the pandemic period and beyond.

The Job Finding Club Online (via Zoom) is a 10-day program in the mornings (Monday – Friday).
