Michele has nearly two decades of communications and leadership experience with a focus on strategic communications, media relations, issues management and crisis communication in the health-care sector. This spans areas from major capital projects, including Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital, to complex service initiatives and care delivery programs. Her communications experience builds on her prior work as a broadcast journalist in both Saskatchewan and Alberta. Born and raised in rural northwest Saskatchewan, Michele returned to Saskatoon with her young family in 2006, appreciating the value of having the love and support of extended family close by. She has since spent her time trying to find that complex balance between career, family and giving back to her local community. Today, she is thrilled to be joining the YWCA Board of Directors, an organization whose commitment to supporting women and their families aligns strongly with her with personal values and beliefs. Michele enjoys spending time at the lake with her family and friends, travelling, hiking, and enjoying all this amazing city and province has to offer.
