Rose Campaign Calls for Action Against Violence

YWCA Canada’s Rose Campaign runs November 25th to December 6th.

Our goal is to end violence against women and girls. We want to reduce violence in every aspect of our lives, increase public awareness, and prevent violence before it starts. Violence against women and girls can include sexual harassment, sexual assault, stalking and cyber violence. It pervades our daily news, our social media and our entertainment. We need to name it and address it.

Accepting violence as a natural part of society is not okay. The Rose Campaign calls on everyone to take action, and calls on the Canadian government to lead the way with a National Action Plan.

Each of us can have the courage to call out behaviour that’s not okay when we encounter it, whether that’s at home, at work, at school, on the street or online.
