YWCA Saskatoon is currently accepting applications for membership on its Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors advances the mission of YWCA Saskatoon and fosters its continued success. Its role includes fiduciary responsibility, governance, stakeholder communications, oversight of business, and support for fundraising.
If applicable, candidates are encouraged to self-identify as under 30 years of age, 31-50, or over 50; as Indigenous; or as possessing previous board experience.
Candidates with various skills and sectors are valued on the YWCA Saskatoon Board, including the following:
- Law, contracting, negotiations, ethics
- Finance, budget, audit
- Philanthropy, campaigns, special events
- Government relations, public policy
- Health care, social services, justice, education
- Understanding of a client base similar to that of the YWCA
- Strategic planning
- Information technology
- Human resources, volunteer development, training
